This tutorial will teach you step by step all you have to know about the free registration at Catooh, the media download and the integration of media into your MAGIX Online World projects.

1^st step: register for free at Catooh

To cash your $6 voucher, you need to register at Catooh. You will then be able to get to know our online media marketplace without further costs or any purchase obligation.

Tip: Note the voucher code or save the promotion website directly in your web browser, to be able to find our special offer again.

Simply click on „Register now“ to get to our registration form. After entering your data completely, you just have to accept the Terms & Conditions and click on „Finsih“.

2^nd step: activate your account and log in at Catooh

After the registration, you will automatically receive a welcome e-mail. Click on the contained link to get back to Catooh and activate your account.

To be able to buy media and redeem your voucher, you have to log in from the home page. Simply click on „Login“ and enter your e-mail address and your password.

After the login, you will automatically get to your personal home page where you can always get an overview of your buying activities and edit your user information.

To cash your voucher, you do not have to enter any payment details, as long as you do not buy media wit a value above $6. Only if that value goes beyond or in case you decide to keep buying media at Catooh in the future, you will be asked to enter payment details.

3^rd step: open the Online World Christmas Collection and put media into your shopping cart

Basically, you can cash your $6 voucher for the whole range of products at Catooh. To get to the special Online World Collections, you can either go to the promotion site, where you can also find your voucher code, or click on the link to the collections on the Catooh home page.

Click on the preview screens of the individual media in the collection to get detailed information. To add media to your shopping cart, click on the cart symbol and choose a license.

Tip: For the publication of media on a private website, a private licence is sufficient.

When you are done selecting media, click on „Go to shopping cart“ to cash your voucher.

4^th step: redeem voucher and download media

In the shopping cart you will now find all the media you selected in an overview. In case you accidentally added media to the carth which you do not want to buy, you can now delete it. You may as well change the licenses for individual media.

Then click on „Check out“ to get to the next site where you can enter your voucher code. After doing so, click on „Redeem coupon“. The $6 will now be allocated with the costs.

Afterwards you simply have to confirm that you read all licenses and agree with them. Then click on „Purchase and download“ to get to the download list from where you can download your media onto your PC.

5^th step: use media and integrate it into your MAGIX Online World projects

Now the creative part begins! Log in to the MAGIX Online World, to add media directly to your website. Choose „Upload content“, to add downloaded media to your online album by using the Online Media Manager.

Of course you can also integrate your media into your projects directly via the Website Maker. In case you want to combine the downloaded media with your own material, such as into a Christmas slideshow, you should use a MAGIX program, such as Xtreme PhotoStory on CD & DVD or Movies on DVD.

MAGIX programs are also advantageous, in case you want to add music to your Online World projects. Due to licensing, we can only sale music fot the private use as OGG files. Unfortunately the Online Media Manager and the Website Maker only work with MP3s. Thus you have to convert your audio files into MP3s. But do not worry! You do not have to buy or install an extra program for that case. All MAGIX programs that work with audio files, give you the opportunity to directly upload songs as MP3 to your online album.

After opening Xtreme PhotoStory on CD & DVD, you have access to your downloaded media via the import menu. Just click „MAGIX media“ and „Downloads“. Then choose one of the files, such as an animation, and drag it onto the image track.

After doing so, you can use the import menu to open your own material and place it behind the animation on the image track. When you are done selecting photos, you should switch to the multitrack mode, to add titles, effects and fades.

Finally, you can spice up your photo story with a matching background music. Take for instance one of the christmas songs you can buy in our special collections, and place it on the sound track underneath the images. Make sure to adjust the length of the photo story to the length of the music.

Now all you have to do is add your slideshow to your Online World projects. To do so, simply click on „Online“ → „MAGIX Online Album“ → „Upload current slideshow as movie“. Following, you can edit the quality of your video, decide to which album it should be uploaded and who will be able to visit it.

Tip: If you only want to add an audio file to your Online Album, click on „Upload soundtrack from slideshow as MP3“ instead. You can also store the audio file in your Online Media Manager for further use.

After uploading your video to your Online Album, you simply have to invite friends and relatives, to present your christmas photo story.

On 31st October it is time for Halloween again! And this is just the perfect occasion for celebrating a wild Halloween party.

Collage

When you decide to work with photos, you can create a collage to make your film more lively.

You can create your own collage by opnening the 'Effects' menu. Just click 'Video FX' and select 'Multi-Image'. There you see many different effects. Each of them means a different image size and position. You can see a preview, when you click on the effect once.

To apply it to your video, you have to place different pictures on the image track. You just have to decide how many pictures you want to combine in one image and where you want to place them. Then drag the respective effect on the respective image and place them under each other on several image tracks.

In this tutorial, we want to introduce you to the media type 'Soundpools' and the basics of working with sound archives. Our Soundpool packages offer you high quality audio material for any music production, the perfect remix, fascinating DJ-sets, websites, video-dubbing and a whole lot more.

1. Introduction & installation
To gain access to the Soundpools, just open the category Soundpools at catooh.com. You can choose between monthly growing range of media from many different genres. The Soundpools can be used with the MAGIX Music Maker, Movie Edit Pro, Samplitude or any other Sequencer-program that supports the Ogg Vorbis and Wave format.

Below we explain how to use Soundpools with MAGIX Music Maker 15.

If you connect to Catooh via your MAGIX software, you will only have to place a checkmark in the download window to automatically add the Soundpool to the program.



This function is not supported by every MAGIX product. Thus you can open the Soundpools with the file manager as well. In case you download the Soundpool with your web browser, a zip archive will be saved on your hard disk. You have to uncompress the package to work with the Soundpool.
