How to become a successful seller in a few steps

Today we want to show you, that it is very simple to sell photos, videos or audio files on Catooh. In order to offer media for sale, you have to be a registered user. Via the button “Register now” on the Catooh home page, you can register very easy and of course for free.

Important basics: Information for sellers

Since cCtooh is an international online media market place, the media being merchandised here, have to fulfill certain standards of quality as a matter of course. In the pdf document “Information for sellers” you will find a brief summary of all technical, artistic and legal aspects, which have to be considered when selling own creations.

Hint: It is about important basics, so you should take a few minutes time and read the information carefully.

1^st step: upload the media

After logging in, your personal front page will appear. In the tab “Upload list” you can choose directly, if you want to upload photo, video or audio files. Subsequently, you only have to select the media in the file browser, and load them.

Hint: However, at the beginning, it is recommended to take a somewhat longer way: Via the link “Upload list” you will get to an overview of your already uploaded media.

The button “Upload media files” will lead you to an upload page with detailed information.

After choosing the file type you will finally get to the file browser.

2^nd step: enter the meta data

For making the medium findable in the shop, it is necessary to assign a name, a description, keywords and categories. These specifications are called meta data.

After the file upload is completed, there will appear a request for assigning meta data directly. If you don't want to do that instantly, you can click on your uploaded files via the “Upload list” later on.

You will find detailed explanations for the creation of the respective data on the right side of the input area.

For classifying the media into categories, you have to open the most applicable subcategory at each level of the category tree, until you reach the lowest level. Only categories at the lowest level can be assigned as meta data.

Example: Images → Photos → Architecture → Fountains

Here only the deepest category, Fountains, can be selected. However, this subcategory contains automatically, that it is about an architectural photo.

Optimal is a classification of three to four (lowest) categories.

Hint: Try to choose the meta data as applicable as possible. At this, it is important to not to get too short, but also not too excessive. Simply think of how you would search for this file as prospective buyer.

3rd step: publish the media

After sending the entire meta data successfully, you will get a request to publish your medium. You can do this by click on that link or manually via the “Upload list”.

In the following our editors will check if all technical and content-related criteria are fulfilled. Accordingly, your medium will be approved for sale.
