Show Maker Styles transform your vacation pictures and records into a real movie – fast, easy and individual
Show Maker Styles: Creating movies in a few minutes!
You know what it's like. You make an effort, capture nice moments, take impressive photos, make amazing videos – and then you have no time to create a good movie from it. With Show Maker Styles this is no problem. We show you today, how you can make a real movie with an intro, special effects and even matching music in a few minutes.
Hint: This tutorial applies to the program MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 14. Generally, Show Maker Styles can be used starting on: MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 12, MAGIX Photo Story on CD & DVD 5 and MAGIX Movies2go. The illustrations apply accordingly, maybe marginal differences will appear.
1st step: Download a matching Show Maker Style from Catooh
On Catooh you will find a big range of Show Maker Styles for different topics. If you build the connection to Catooh with the software MAGIX Movie Edit Pro, the corresponding styles will be stored automatically in the proper folder. For this, you click onto “File” in the progamm MAGIX Movie Edit Pro and select “MovieShow Maker...”, use the shortcut Ctrl+Shift+M or click simply on the button "One Click"

The appearing window will help you to apply the Show Maker Styles later on, too. Under point 1, “Select style”, you will find a list of different styles which are already included in the program. Maybe there is something interesting for you in it. For connecting with Catooh, the worldwide Online Media Marketplace, click onto the last item in the list: “More styles...”.
You will be routed automatically to the area “Templates & Effects”: “Show Maker Styles” on Catooh. Here you can either click directly through the range of styles or restrict the search results further by selecting a topic.
In the preview you will see the respective intro for getting an impression if the Show Maker Style fits thematically and stylistically to your vacation records. Since the other elements of the style like special effects, outro, etc. are adjusted well to the intro, they are not showed additionally.
Hint: After selecting and downloading a style from Catooh, it will be automatically inserted into the above illustrated list of the window “MovieShow Maker” in MAGIX Movie Edit Pro. In this way you can extend your personal range of Show Maker Styles steadily.
2nd step: Applying the downloaded Show Maker Style
For applying the Show Maker Style on your vacation records, open the window “MovieShow Maker” in the program MAGIX Movie Edit Pro by clicking on “File” → “MovieShow Maker...”.
Then select your downloaded style at point 1, “Select style”. The name in the list corresponds to the file name on Catooh.
Under the points 2 to 4 you can specify different properties.
The Button “Advanced...”, below point 4, leads you to a list of all effects of the chosen style. Here you can select single effects which match particularly well. However, only if the slider stands in the maximum, it is possible to choose from all effects. Regarding effects, generally holds: less is more.
By click onto the button “Apply style (preview)”, the style will be applied and the resulting movie will be played in the preview window. If you are not satisfied with the result yet, you will be able to revise your specifications under point 2 to 4 and to apply the style again.
3rd step: Adjust the effects of the style manually
Since the effects of the style are placed at random, it may occur, that you are not satisfied with the position of some effects. However, this can be changed easily by hand:
After clicking on the button “Apply” in the “MovieShow Maker”-window, choose the Timeline mode within the menu “Edit”. Here you can see the single elements of the styles separated in different tracks. If you click on one point of the film, the elements, which are related to each other on this position, will be highlighted in color. For moving an effect, it has to be uncoupled from your vacation records first. For that purpose, you click on the respective point of the film and then on the icon with the split chain top right.
Pay attention that one effect often stretches across several tracks. Keep the key Ctrl pressed and mark all elements of the effect, then generate a group via click on the chain-icon. Now the effect can be easily moved to the desired position. Copying or deleting effects works in an analogous manner.
Finally, just burn the film and let your family and friends admire it.
